About
Halloway's sound is unique and immediately accessible.
| |
Think melody - hooks and choruses that get you singing along right away. |
| |
Think vocals - tight harmonies and weaving counterpoint between two great singers. |
| |
Think guitars - chiming and cascading. |
| |
Think rhythm - groovy and shuffling beats accented by pumping bass lines. |
| |
Think meaningful lyrics - new twists on familiar themes of love, regret, happiness, and longing. |
Halloway is a new Austin act, making their presence known with their own brand of melodic rock music. Halloway is currently performing in and around Austin at club venues such as La Zona Rosa, Antone's, Stubbs, and MoMo's. Halloway released a 5-song EP entitled Stope Fading Away in 2001 and is currently in the process of recording a debut full-length album.
The Band
The members of Halloway are successful and experienced musicians. Neal Mehta (vocals, guitar) has sung for the Austin party band The Recliners for a half decade. Paul Leddy (guitar, vocals) played guitar and sang with power-pop legend Ron Flynt from 20/20. Leddy and Mehta collaborate to write Halloway's songs. Stephen Bres (drums) is known for his work with Zen Merchants and Paradigm. Brent Chappelle (bass) formerly played with Jackrabbit King and is also a member of The Recliners.
